Litchfield County

So listen up! You want to know where your tax payer dollars for the bank bail outs went? To New Yorkers with weekend homes and brand new Porsche SUVs in Litchfield County. It’s a nice place to visit and people are very friendly. My friend David is standing in one picture. The red veggies are actually eggplant from South America grown by a local farmer for the farmers market.

Ice Cream@a Creamery

Wells Hollow is a farm, nursery and creamery. I always thought they made their own ice cream until a delivery truck pulled up and made their delivery. Oh well. Here are some pictures from this Connecticut non-dairy creamery.

New York

I grew up an hour away from New York City and when I visit my family I often take the train in for some city time. I prefer mountains to skyscrapers though.

The pix of the people walking across the street are the Occupy Wall Streeters.

The clock, ceiling pix, market are from Grand Central station.

The grassy area is the newish Highline park.

The unfinished building is the freedom tower.

Washington DC

I had a meeting at the British Embassy in DC last week so I drove down from Connecticut for an overnight. The Brits are so nice! The building is on embassy row (Massachusetts Ave). That motorcade was Joe Biden leaving his residence at the US Naval Observatory next to the Brit embassy. I didnt get a very good picture but it was a bit chaotic.

I didn’t realize that the reflecting pool was ripped up a year ago for rebuilding.

I haven’t been to DC since 1989 and so the world war II monuments were new to me. One of the states I took a picture of is where I will be moving to on Oct 28. More about that later.
